what would you go for. Before major building works we had a great was hing line. But now my dh is trying to get me to consider a rotary dryer.
Has anyone got one and what do they think of them over a ordinary wahing line. Also there seem to be so many types what to go for????

washing line - rotary dryers don't work as well. Get a retractable one then you can put it away when you're not using it.

Washing line if you can raise it to catch the wind and retractable. We have a rotary because of space and we fit three washing loads on it. I know line is better. If you chose a rotary make sure you concrete in the tube to hold the pole it will save the pole falling down. & we take it down at weekends and to mow the lawn.

sounds like my old faithful line is a better bet then?

Yep! You can also make tents for the kids too. Rotary just doesn't do the job as well!

I've lived in 3 houhouses with washing lines and3 with rotarys in the past 14 years and definately prefer washing lines. I mean our rotary we have now (4th one in 2 years) is really big, it has 4 arms on it and can take about 4 loads, but I still prefer lines
