Trying to sort out something for DS.He has a pale linen suit from Autograph at M and S as he is going to be a page boy later in the summer. I would like him to wear that but I can't find a shirt I like, think White may be a bit odd with the suit but can't find much else.

Unbleached cotton shirt? (but this one only goes up to age 6-7 so won't work if he's on the larger side)

I know the dilemma! I bought ds2 a pale linen jacket in the sale at John Lewis for his First Communion and had quite a time buying jacket and shirt to complete the outfit. Eventually spent a fortune on smart navy trousers and a Burberry shirt in a an off-white, biscuit and navy check but it wasn't cheap! What about a pale blue shirt? Benetton also had some nice shirts which would go with those colours. Or a linen shirt from Monsoon? They have some cream and natural coloured ones usually. However, I think they only go up to age 6-7 so depends on how tall your son is.

In the absence of a dd in the nickchick house,my 2 eldest received their first holy communion at the same time, but all my 3 boys wore a bespoke black 3 piece suit with shirt and tie (red tie for the eldest 2).

To make up for the lack of white lace I wore a pink trouser suit .

Thanks for all the ideas, alot of stuff seems to end at 6-7 which doesn't help. He is not enormous but is already 8. It is so much more obvious what girls should wear!
any more tips gratefully received.
