I want to buy an i-pod for my dh for his brithday next week but not sure which to get. Please help me and recommend one or tell me about any problems, charging, memory space etc.

I'm thinking that 4gb will probably be enough memory but happy to take advice.

I've got a different mp3 player which I find really good but he's keen on an i-pod.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there - what's your budget? I just bought DH the i-pod touch but it was his 40th, so a big present birthday.

I spoke to our music supervisor at work, as I knew if anyone would know, he would know, and he reckons unless you need it for professional use, the 8G is the biggest memory you need.

I got DH the 8G i-pod touch second generation - best deal was through Amazon.

To say he's happy with it would be an understatment of the highest order

I had a 4gb nano, and I filled it up quite quickly. Now just have a classic which is great.

Will your DH use it just for music, or to watch things on?

BTW, if you get the touch, it has internet access which has meant we aren't fighting over the laptop any more in the evenings...more MN time for me!

Hi, sorry, have been answering on another thread and this was very quiet when I first posted.

Dh has a phone with intrnet access for work and so will only really use this for music.

Thanks for all your responses, I went for an 8gb nano in the end and from Amazon which was the best price I could find.
