Moby / Moby D wrap

Can anyone tell me if the Moby D is worth the extra money? I'm planning to use one for ds2 due end of July, at least for the first 6 months, but probably not past a year I reckon. The less-stretchy fabric panel across the front of the Moby D seems quite a good idea if it's true that some people find the normal one too stretchy....? The silk ones look lovely but isn't it impossible to get baby sick off them?

I had a regular Moby for my DD up to six months, and it was absolutely fine. In fact DH and I both loved it and we never found it too stretchy. I think I would get a Moby D just for aesthetic reasons.
