Discs burned with the DVD+RW drives may not be compatible with certain existing drives.

16x DVD-ROM [subtract £105.76]
48X CDRW Drive [subtract £94.00]
48X DVD/CDRW Combo Drive [subtract £82.25]
48x CDRW and 16x DVD-ROM [subtract £58.75]
16x max. DVD +/- RW with dual layer write capability Dell Recommended
16x max. DVD+/-RW and 48 x CDROM [add £11.75 or £1/month1]

you need a RW (rewriter) if you want to burn

the CDROM and DVDRom just play

I'd go for the two drives - RW and CD rom (the one where you pay 11.75 - sorry!)

then you can copy cd's easily (one in the drive, one burning)

me too.

or thr 48x DVD/CDRW (which writes and reads cds and plays dvds).
