My 13mo has large feet and is still cruising. We can just about get him into a pair of Start Rite 5H but not for much longer and am looking for help from anyone who can recommend an alternative? Clarks suggested Doodles but he's worn a hole in the front in just 10 days! HELP!!!

what about roobeez?

Thanks TwinklyToes, I think Roobeez are fab both of my children have worn them. My problem is when we go outside and it's been raining. DS wants to walk (holding hands of course) and ends up with cold, soggy feet. Hnece my search for "proper shoes".

I had this problem with dd1 as well.

I am sorry to say I didn't find a solution, and had to stick to carrying dd1 if the ground was too wet (despite her screams of protest)

She didn't walk until 17 months - by which time my back had all but given out!

Maybe try some outdoors type places for waterproof overshoes? which you can then put over robeez type shoes (I did this for dd2, as she wanted to walk/crawl outside before she was in proper shoes, and it worked reasonably well)

How about 'proper' shoes that arent cruisers, just normal shoes. You could use them on wet days and for trips to park etc and use the soft robeez ones for all other times so he's not wearing the harder ones for much time but only when practical!
