mobile phone from ebay????

Has anyone bought a mobile phone from ebay?? Also has anyone bought one of the ones from China/Hong Kong?

My phone has died and I am looking to get something to replace it for now as under contract. Some of the deals from China/Hong Kong seem great but I wonder if they are too good to be true?

We haven't bought from China/Hong Kong but have bought a phone on Ebay which was a bloody disaster it was broken we returned and never got a refund despite starting action against seller through ebay. Total disaster!
On the other hand DH and I have sold phones on ebay and have 100% positive feedback so not all sellers are dodgy.
That's the risk of Ebay to be honest.

I bought one for DS1 and it was fine - no problems at all. The fact he dropped it in a swimming pool a few months later wasn't the fault of Ebay

tesco have loads of payg phones for half price just now,
you could buy one of those and put your own sim in it?
