Does anyone else have this really annoying problem with their Rangemaster cooker?

That the little caps on the knobs to the hobs are not adhered effectively and just ping off?

I have non-pinging Rangemaster hob knobs.

Non-pingers here too.

Mine don't ping.

Our knobs are firm

knob update:

a one-off (as in a few batches of cookers), but known problem apparently, the very nice service people at Rangemaster are sending me through a complete range of new non-pinging hob knobs. So like the otter, my knobs too will be firm.
