I am going to treat myself to a food processor but my goodness I had no idea how many food processors there are on the market. How on earth do you choose??

Do you have a great machine that you could recommend? Under £200.

This thread is very old now, but we’ve recently refreshed our guide to the best food processor with plenty of high-quality options recommended by Mumsnetters, including many options under £200. We hope you find it useful.

DSil has a kenwood as she bakes lots, we have a Moulinex with a tonne of changable bits and it is great for us.

Moulinex - mine is 20 years old. I like it so much I am thinking of buying it some extra bits as a present.

Thanks guys, someone pointed me towards the Good Housekeeping website as they have loads of tried and tested recommendations. I like the sound of a Kenwood so that's what I'll go for.

ABD - how kind you are. Your Moulinex will hug you! aargh! Step away from the blender!!
