Im looking for a carseat for my almost 2 year old. It needs to be one that is easily fitted in the car as im going to use it for when im in other peoples cars (I dont drive) I have been looking at getting a high backed booster. These state that they are 4 years plus, however my daughter is 15.5 kilos which is over the lower regulation to use them (shes very tall) So is this a safe option to use? Opinions and recomendations needed! Thank you

I don't think a high backed booster is a good option if your DD would still fit in a group 1 seat with a 5 point harness. My DS is very tall, way over the 99.9 centile and he had to come out of the 5 point harness and into a high backed booster aged about 2.5. I would try and go for a group 1 seat (try her in them in a shop to check she isn't too tall). I can't recommend a particular seat though as have not found one I loved!

I'd agree with crokky.
The type 2s with 5 point harnesses tend not to fit any child even a tiny bit over average and a 3 point harness is very unsafe for such a young child. I'd opt for a type 1 myself.
I frequently have to take ds's in and out of our car and those of my friends and you do become quick after a while. We have a Maxi Cosi Priori xp. It cost about £130, but you can get similar car seats for less.

the Britax Evolva 123 does from 20lbs up to age 12 - it has a harness to be used up to 40lbs and then you would remove the harness and use the adult seatbelt for the rest of the time.
