Has anyone used a Simply Good Snugly Sling. I have one (got it as a gift) and looking for advice.

I got the sling as a gift when dd2 was born. I tried it a few times when she was a newborn but didn't get the hang of it. She is 5 months now and would like to give it another go. I think the pouch position would be best for her but I'm not sure where her legs should be. They say folded on the dvd but I can't picture it. Should her legs be folded up in front of her. Any advice from babywearers welcome. Thanks

at 5 mos the legs would be out. however she is in, her knees should be positioned higher than her bum with legs apart, like when you carry her in your hip with your arms.

search youtube for 'ring sling' and 'hip carry'.

this sling is based on the concept of rs but i don't believe they are as practical or as useful in the long run compared to ring slings.

Look up 'Kangaroo Carry' on YouTube.

I put baby into the pouch with legs crossed and knees towards the ribs.

Hope that helps, try putting baby in facing sideways and then twizzle to forward facing.
