From what age can I use my Maclaren Quest Sport?

The instructions say 3 months - my son is 15 weeks now, but I worry about his little head lolling about in it. He is a good weight (15lbs 9oz) - any advice, netters? Thx in advance...

It does say suitable for 3 months + but if you don't feel he has good enough head control, I would hold off until closer to 6 months tbh.

Can you buy head cushions that might help? My dilemna is that the pram we were given for a new born has just given up the ghost - so do I buy another one (and if so, any recommendations?) or now switch to Maclaren? It's a tricky one...

which pushchair did you get? that it's given up the ghost after 3 months of use. If he needs to use a support cushion then it's not going to be the greatest for him.

i'd be happier with a 15week old in a techno tbh? i think i used the quest from about 5ish months.

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 23/04/2009 22:53

I wouldn't - I have a quest and on the most reclined setting my 3 year old is not that reclined and tends to slump. I wouldn't use it until they can sit up unaided really. When you get there it will be lovely, my quest is still my favourite out of all the varying pushchairs I own.

3mths is fine, just recline it fully

Bagabee · 27/04/2009 08:52

Thanks - have decided to buy a Maclaren XLR which will recline fully for now and convert into a stroller later / be kept for next DS/DD! We were given the first pram - so it was old when we started with it - would have been mad and telling everyone the brand name to avoid if a new pram had given up after three months! Btw, Which? reviewed over 100 prams on its website recently and it saves doing loads of research yourself - and they're offering free three month trial just now - worth a look...

which one came out the best then? beware the xlr is v.high handled and is big/heavy folded.
