Where can I buy a 'traditional' Scottish ladies outfit?

I need it for an event when it will probably be a stinking hot day. I was thinking more of the floaty sleeveless white dress with tartan sash, or somesuch.

Could I get away with a white jacobite shirt and kilt?

Do kilt hire places not do this kind of thing?

Please don't wear a white Jacobite shirt and kilt.
You can but a ladies lightweight tartan kilt in most ladies outfitters (or from the Peoples Friend) and a white blouse.

I don't want to hire or spend a fortune! Last time I borrowed a beautiful designer outfit (long skirt with a fitted jacket - really gorgeous) and it was sooooooo hot I though I was going to pass out!

I quite like the jacobite shirts (I do think me look really nice in them) although I have never actually seen a woman wearing one.
