Bushbaby Elite... too much for the high street?

I am researching baby backpacks and I would love a backpack that is good for day-to-day walks around town (where it will get most of its use), but that also is good/sturdy/comfy/sophisticated enough to handle long hikes. I'd also like one to last us a good long time.

The Bushbaby Elite looks great! But do Bushbaby owners out there think that it's perhaps too much backpack for the day-to-day errand running on the high street?

Get an Ergo. I had a bushbaby with dd, it was expensive and barely got used because it was just so bulky. With ds I have discovered the Ergo and use it every single day. Much better than the bushbaby I would say, and you can buy a rucksack attatchment for it so it still has storeage if that's what you're after.

Thanks for that littlelamb. Was the Ergo good for bigger walks as well?

Yes. I can carry ds around all day, and do so most days. He is just shy of 20lbs.

I do know someone who carried full time (no pushchair/pram, no car) with a Little Life Elite. She used that as it had enough storage to do serious grocery shopping and carry it home.

If you don't need to schlep a lot of shopping, a MeiTai will last longer and is more convenient.

We do have a Little Life ourselves, but actually both prefer the MTs for long or short walks. I carry a nearly 3 yr old
