Is it possible to get liners for disposable nappies? Either disposable or washable?

I've seen them in Mothercare too (flushable paper liners) - although so far I've got mine from cotton bottoms when I buy new nappies.

I quite like the Boots disp. liners (do they still sell them?). Hated the Mothercare ones. I wash the Boots ones if they are only slightly soiled, but best to put it in a string bag inside washing machine to avoid chance of it clogging up the filters or pump. If they are "only" wet, I just hang them up to dry and reuse.

The Little Green Earthlets 'Ultra' liners are really nice and soft and easy to use - you just tear one off the roll (no folding/unfolding). I've heard that Waitrose have now started selling these. The PHP liners are thin and rough in comparison and need folding (I've only used liners in cloth nappies though). The Ultra liners do go through the washing machine if you want to re-use them.

Agree with zebra - like the Boots disposable liners (yep, still sell them). Mothercare rubbish.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why would you want to line a disposable?

Soly · 22/04/2003 20:00

Because sometimes (and quite often in my experience) babies do a poo as soon as you put a new nappy on them and it seems really wasteful to have to chuck an otherwise clean nappy away.

I thought that if I used liners sometimes I might produce just a bit less landfill each day!!

Does this seem like a mad idea?

No!

I told you it was a stupid question
