Ruddy hell, look at this, you have to correctly answer a quiz about how to use the highchair before Tripp Trapp will sell you one

don't know if this link will work if not try one below

what absolute bollocks

if you get a question wrong eg "what age is a child able to sit in a Tripp Trapp" it says "sorry, wrong answer. please read the information and try again"
!!!

you have to get all the answers right before it will allow you to order one!

Lol, I remember that. I got the show one reduced in John lewis and they didn't ask me any such questions.

nickytwotimes · 21/04/2009 20:34

What a lot of shit!

They are a bloody con anyway, imo.

Hulababy · 21/04/2009 20:35

Got mine elsewhere online and no questionnaire!

francagoestohollywood · 21/04/2009 20:36

step away from the tripp trapp, they are evil!

Guadalupe · 21/04/2009 20:38

We stopped using ours when ds2 was about one as he kept tipping himself back on it.

We have used it as a spare chair recently though.

FrannyandZooey · 21/04/2009 20:40

oh i am not buying one - i was just on the website and saw this
it says it is a manufacturer's requirement that you answer the questions before buying! incredibly patronising

Used DD's TT daily from 5 months to 6 years. Used it for meals and craft/computer work. A year on it is still used regularly, just not every day - either by DD or one of the visiting toddlers/babies we have visiting. Never had any of the children even hint at knocking it over, but then our table has no lege or nything to lever off. Been a definite best buy for us/

BCLass · 21/04/2009 20:43

I thought it was reassuringly middle class to have to answer a quiz first

francagoestohollywood · 21/04/2009 20:45

I tend to smash my big toe against its legs camouflaging with the parquet floor

Juxal · 21/04/2009 20:45

How utterly ridiculous.

MerlinsBeard · 21/04/2009 20:48

what a way to get your potential customers looking elsewhere!

traceybath · 21/04/2009 20:52

Its their slightly odd policy about selling online - think they want you to understand the product before you buy it.

Strange and annoying though! I have one and ds1 has used it since he was 6 months and is nearly 5 and still uses it. But need another one now and just want to buy one easily online but would probably fail the questionnaire.

Guadalupe · 21/04/2009 21:18

Franca - I always used to stub my toe on it, in fact I think I have called the trip trap a fucker more times than I care to remember.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 21/04/2009 21:21

wow - got all answers wrong. And we have 2...

Wonder if they come and take them off us

AitchTwoOh · 21/04/2009 21:21

i'm not sure i understand my antilop.

it's a highchair, isn't it? what am i missing?

francagoestohollywood · 21/04/2009 21:37

What is an antilop? Does it evolve into an uncomfy chair like the triptrap?

Hulababy · 22/04/2009 13:26

Have you sat on the TT as a chair? Definitely not uncomfortable IME. I have used it many a times at the computer. Definitely no more uncomfortable that other wooden seats IMO.

PinkTulips · 22/04/2009 13:37

[smug] i got them all right.

i kinda see their point... maybe lots of people were using it wrong and like guadalupes ds it was tipping back and a child got injured and they're covering their own asses by doing this.

the wrong answers give a good indication of the stupid things people must have been doing that could have endangered the child

Hulababy · 22/04/2009 13:51

Just done it. Gotthem right. Surely it is very very hard NOT to get them all right!

francagoestohollywood · 22/04/2009 16:57

I have actually, yes, still find it rather uncomfortable. But I also find uncomfortable those ergonomic office chairs...

KingRolo · 22/04/2009 17:01

No tests required before you buy this highchair

francagoestohollywood · 22/04/2009 17:23

ThingOne · 22/04/2009 17:35

Oh that mothercare one is sooo ugly. Do you think they were trying?

How bizarre to have the tripp trapp quiz. We have two and I've never altered them with that much care- I just see if it kind-of fits. That seems to be comfy enough for my boys.

DH and I both sit on ours quite often too. We are not very tall, at 5'6" and 5'3". Should I stop expecting taller people to sit on them?
