Miele washing machines

We are planning on buying a Miele washing machine to replace our (almost) 7 year-old Bosch, which is likely to expire sometime soon (the bearings are leaving nasty grey/black marks on my washing).

However, I am not sure which of our three shortlisted models we should opt for. If any MNers could provide feedback on the Miele W1716, W3740 or W4144, I would be most grateful.

We have a W4144 and it is brill!

Our 8 year old Zanussi died in December, it had a hard time over the last two years with cloth nappies and I was determined to replace it with a Miele.

I stumbled across this site which was v helpful and answered loads of questions.

The functions I really wanted in a washing machine were Time remaining display (I always hated waiting for a wash to finish trying to work out if it would be 10 mins which I would wait for before going out or 30 mins which I would not), Delay timer (which I use overnight so that the load is just finishing as we get up, I don't like it to sit wet and ceased for long periods) and a minimum of 1400 spin speed.

Other things I like: 30 min expess wash - v useful, huge door for easier loading/unloading and v simple controls which also a child lock.

We also got a free 10 year extended warranty on this model when we bought it. It may be worth looking out for this offer again.
