little tikes cosy coupe - problems putting together

Emergency. Small child is one in 3 days, we have bought her a little tikes cosy coupe and can't put the blinking thing together. Is there a knack to getting the front yellow upright bits in and if so can you please share it?

I don't know but have heard they afre a bit of a nightmare to assemble.

I heard about someone screwing in the steering wheel as there was no other way
