Magnetic lower-case letters

I want some of these for my fridge, for 15 MO DS to play with when I'm cooking. I can't find any that are ok for under-3s- would you avoid using them as the magnets could come away and be a choking hazard, or would you just go ahead and get some anyway?

Besides, I can't find any decently-priced ones so any recommendations would be welcome.

Not exactly what you are looking for but...

leap frog do "fridge phonics" i picked up a set from a car boot for a couple of quid. They are about £15 in shops I think. You put in the letter tile (upper and lowercase) and they then say something like "a is the sound for the letter A"

The letter tiles are chunky and my 19 month DS has enjoyed playing with them for a few months now.

HTH

I wouldn't use them for a 15mth old, unless they were toddler proof! The magnetic bits can come out easily on some, or fall off (if glued on) on others. I would definitely go for a baby brand, if such exists. The one Tam suggested sounds good. Although I think for a toddler it might be easier to get non-letters ones.

Ooh TamTam29 you might be on to something. Argos has them at £6.99 at the moment in the sale! Thanks for the recommendation.
