Can anyone recommend anything super-cheap, lightweight, suitable for ds3 who'll be 8m when we go away? Thank you!

Hello!

We've noticed this thread is quite old and some of the product recommendations are a little out of date. We've spent weeks speaking to parents and testing out buggies. Here are some of the cheap buggies available to buy now.

Hope that helps! Flowers

theres cheap, and theres reasonable and good quality/additional features. what is your budget? as you can get buggies for about £15 i think from tesco's etc. but may not lay back, have raincover or be that nice to push?

verygreenlawn · 17/04/2009 16:51

Not too bothered at all about quality tbh, I just want one to throw on the plane then for the back of the car - but can't seem to find anything very basic!

I've just bought a Maclaren Triumph off of EBay for £15,it does lay back, and has a shoulder strap so when its folded its easy to carry, its got a hood,to protect from Sun,and its half the weight of my previous XT.Ideal for Hols IMO

Ps. I am NOT a Pushchair AddictExpert

I'd get a Jive from Mothercare as it lays back enough for an 8mo - or the Tesco equivalent

geordieminx · 17/04/2009 16:57

m&p's aria from ebay

FlyMeToDunoon · 17/04/2009 17:23

babiesrus £29.99

Isis £39

Not tried either but imagine they would be ok for a holiday.
There are others on the site which have hoods.

Do you know I didn't even think of ebay! Will get dh to look later, he loves ebay - thanks.

Ds3 will be mostly OK in a sling, just want a basic pushchair for when I need an extra hand for luggage or for when he needs a snooze ...

I have got the babies r us cheeky monkey buggy too.

It's ideal for holidays/occasional use etc...

verygreenlawn · 19/04/2009 18:26

Now you see, I'm a bit of a sucker for photos of VERY cute little boys snoozing away in their buggies .... they should use them as publicity material!

Was hoping to spend less than £30, so the cheeky monkey looks ideal, or maybe DH can find me a bargain on ebay??

Thank you all!
