Mad wasps keeps trying to get in our back door. Am I going to end up with one of those curtains?

You know, the stringy type? Maybe with beads.

Is there a modern equivalent?

hiya
we had a beaded curtain but it didnt work, we also have a dog that pops in and oout of back door and neighbour has pond which equals lots of midges!
we got a fly curtain in the end, its like four wide sheets of black mesh that overlap with plastic weights on bottom, plus you can slide all pieces to one side when not needed, its great have to shop around as quite expensive, think we paid bout £25
had to search for fly screens and fly doors etc, sorry cant remeber what website we bought from i'll have a look tho see if any look familiar and get back to you x

someone on mumsnet recommended the waspinator. it's basically a bag you hang in your garden that fools wasps into thinking it's an enemy nest so they stay away. worth a try?

I have one of those curtain things like lilyrose describes - I got mine from Lakeland. I like it because I can just unclip and roll it up in winter.

We had a bees nest in the wall above the door and they're protected so there's not much you can do about it but I'm allergic to bee stings so I needed to stop them coming into the house.

If you're sure they're wasps and you know where their nest is, I'd be tempted to nuke it though

Waspinator, eh? Worth looking into thanks.

Dunno if they're wasps or bees but they're evil looking things which seem to have an obsession with my back room.

Will look in lakeland too. Thanks.
