Bugaboo footmuff: too hot in summer?

Wondered whether anyone else is finding the muff too much as weather gets warmer. My DS has had a rash on his back and wondered whether he's been getting too hot. Wondered what others use to line bugaboo cameleon in summer. Been trying to reverse the muff but still think its 100 percent polyester so not great for sensitive skin but perhaps i'm wrong....I know you can unzip it so there's no cover but still its very fleecey...

anyone - am i allowed to bump myself?

I used the baby nest (which is the same make-up as the footmuff) with DS last summer from when he was first born (in June) to when he grew out of it at Christmas and had no problems at all.
