I want something easy to carry and light weight - anyone have any suggestions?

No they are all heavy and difficult to carry within a matter of weeks, i hate them with a passion.
I ended up leaving mine in the car all the time and using a sling or the buggy. My ds's soon got used to being moved around asleep and even now ds2 4 years can be lifted out of the car asleep and put to bed.
not very helpful sorry.

LOL - don't worry! For my older dds we had a Rock-a-tot from Britax which was good and not too heavy but we have lost it somewhere...

i think mothercare or argos do a similar one to the rock a tot i am sure, you would have to check tho.

the maxi-cosi cabrio is what we have,it came out best in the which tests, its really easy to use and one of the lightest on the market,
the mamas and papas primo viaggio is really heavy and very upright for a newborn i wouldnt go for that one personally,

We have the maxi-cosi and it is fab - much lighter than a lot of them!

Another vote for the Maxi-cosi Cabrio, we have that in DH's car. You can get Isofix base for it also.
I have a Jane Matrix in my own car, it is fab as lies flat but a nightmare to put in and out!
I tend to leave them in the car anyways.
