Having just returned from holidays with the car full to bursting, we reckon it's time to invest in a roof box. So far we have worked out that we need a long narrow box as we also need to carry two bikes on the roof. However, we think that there might not be enought room for the box and the bike carriers we currently have as they are very wide (Mont Blanc Barracudas, if anyone's interested)so we'll probably have to get new, narrower, bike carriers as well.
The narrowest box we can find is a Thule something-or-other that is 63 cm wide but we can't find anywhere that will give us the widths of bike carriers so we can work out if it would all fit on the roofrack.
So my question is, can anyone suggest/recommend what roofbox and bike carrier combo we could get that would fit on a 2005 VW Passat Estate?
