help need a way to lock trike handle bars

urgent as little one always wants to push it and handle bars move sideways making it impossible to push...huge tantrums result as either does not go where he wants or i take over

nightmare

some more expensive trikes come with steering handle bar lock so fixed straight and easy to pusb

which trike is it ? Ours (Baby Driver 2) had a collar around the handlebar support which you could turn to either turn to face in with a long piece wedged between the frame to stop it twisting or face front allowing it to move freely. Not sure how you could replicate it on a regular trike though, maybe tie something around the handlebars and frame to limit movement ? Otherwise tip it slighlty onto rear wheels when he does it.
