This is how products should be designed - my first ever video camera

I'm not really a product person. I don't like faffing around with lots of gadgets. I don't need to be a first to get the latest thing. If I have something that works I don't feel the need to trade it in for a newer version. But I LOVE this video camera.

We've been meaning to get a video camera for about 3 years now, pretty much since we got DS. But I didn't want to be bothered carrying it and learning how to use it etc. Now that we have a DD too we've finally gotten around to buying one, and I'm really impressed. It's small, it's simple, you don't need cables or a cd/dvd drive to install the software. It only does one thing, and you only need to press one button to do it. It doesn't also keep your diary, or connect to the internet, or give you your GPS location or any of the other crap that all electronic products have added on to their primary function that nobody ever uses but makes the the product hard to use for the basics.

I think we, the old fogies product buying masses should rise up and say "Make things simple, if the manual needs to be more than 5 pages long we won't buy it".

Oooh, sorry. I did intend to link to it. Here. Honestly, now that I have it I'm angry that my stills camera isn't as well designed, I have to connect it to my computer using a cable, so out-dated.
