My Ka needs brake fluid. the problem is that I know there are different types. Is there a particular one I need?

I can't find my manual and need to do it tonight.

thanks

If you are getting it from Halfords they should be able to tell you, but I'll have a quick google for you...

Just been reading about all this dot stuff , never knew you could get different types - fascinating . Though I did read the brake fluid needs changing on a KA after 2 years, then every 4 so not sure if you should be draining away then re-filling...? [clueless]

Thanks. My brother has given me some Dot 4. I was hoping I could use it!!

Dizzy. You gotta be careful adding brake fluid if you're doing it yourself.

Got to be really careful not to get any air bubbles in the tubes, you need a steady hand and some experience ideally, that;s why iut has a warning triangle on the lid.

i can't remember the rules, used to do my motorbike, but it's quite a tricky and long winded process I think.

Also you need to pump the brakes after it's finished or they won't work the first time you use them. Old boyfriend changed my pads once and didn't pump them, I nearly went out a junction at 30mph but put my feet down in time
