Probs with my loola up

Hi guys,

just a bit of advice. I have some problems with my loola up & the shop where I bought it have offered to get it inspected by the manufacturer but I'm just wondering if anyone has had the same probs... and also how long I'll be without a pushchair....

It worked fine with the Windoo carrycot, but with the seat unit it:

Is hard to get the seat unit into the chassis when it's been folded as the seat doesn't unfold as much as required. I have to stretch it to get it into the clips ( I tend to keep them separate as my back's still a bit weak)

The wheels splay when reversing

The chassis feels quite rickety like it hasn't quite got enough bracing in it

Also the straps on the chair are really short & the hood is so low it touches my baby's head & he's only 5 months old!!

xx

I have the same issue with the straps & hood. My son is only 11 weeks old and the straps became unuseable from when he was about 6 weeks old. I just don't use them now which isn't ideal. I'd be interested to know if you have any luck with getting the various issues fixed. I suspect the straps and hood issue are just bad designing.

If you ring the manufacturer (Dorel I think) they will send you new longer straps. It's been a known issue for ages - I don't know why they haven't sorted it.

MummyNegin I'll keep you posted. BabyPages (the shop I bought online from) say it'll take 7 - 10 days to get it inspected....how will I manage? Although I'm sure I have a friend who can lend me one. My car has just conked out as well so I'm car-less for a couple of days - better get my walking boots on!!

Puddlet thank you - I will do that. I know my son is quite small anyway so I guessed everyone else had the same prob!!

I just rang Dorel and as soon I told her the problem with the straps the Customer Services lady offered to send me extenders. She said it will take 14 days to receive them. All she wanted was my name and address. No proof of purchase or anything. Their contact details are here: www.dorel.co.uk/contact-us/
Phone number is 01842 763 281.

MummyNegin Just called Dorel to ask about the problems & the straps & they said to send it in so they could find out what's wrong but they could have it up to 14 days

mrsjammi I have loved the loola with the windoo & we have done lots of walking with it so I really do hope it gets sorted ! I will ask for a replacement as it looks like I could be without it for 3 weeks...

thanks

oh my - don't you just love husbands. Agreed with baby-pages to get pram inspected - went to find box in garage - gone apparently he had a clear out a couple of weeks ago & threw it away... so now I need a box to put the pushcahir in so they can pick it up - what a man....
