net books - are they any good?

i have been thinking of getting a netbook as a cheaper alternative to a laptop, i have seen one in argos for about £200.

But, are they worth the money? Do they run slower than a laptop would? Are they easy to use? Are they too small?

Would i be better off just getting one of the cheaper laptops? I would only really use it for the internet though so i wondered if i might be better off with a netbook as they are a lot cheaper.

Has anyone got one?

Depends what you need it for. I love mine, but there is little space to store/download, no CD/DVD and the screen is tiny. Perfect for MNing on the go/in bed though!

i nearly bought one of these a couple of weeks ago, they were about £150 on ebay,
however i then found a laptop (which i am on atm) for £185 + post, its brand new, just a catalogue return with a tiny faint mark on the outer casing,
am SO glad i bought a proper laptop, does SO many more things than a netbook, and for such a little bit extra,
