Does anyone have a freezer in their lounge?

I'm really missing my freezer, and want to do more home cooking but am sick of things going off because dd isn't hungry or won't eat them (she eats tea at afterschool club wed-fri, so although I always offer a meal she doesn't always eat it). I can't fit an under counter freezer in the kitchen but can in the lounge. Would this be too weird/too much of a faff? Or would it make my frozen meals and ice cream making dreams come true?

Oooh sorry, forgot, am missing my freezer as I had to get rid of it when we moved, as the kitchen will only fit a larder fridge.

We have a chest freezer in our cellar and find it really really useful.

Not sure about it being in the lounge - might make it a little too easy to actually indulge in the ice cream cravings while watching TV c. 10pm - but my I know my step MIL had a tumble dryer in her dining room and she just put a table cloth over it with a plant on top. It actually took me a few years to even realize what it was!

Mine's in the cupboard under the stairs - if you have one, it's worth considering...

We have 1 in the kitchen and a chest freezer in the garage. Would prefer both to be in the house but wouldn't personally put one in the lounge. I know of several friends who have freezers in a hallway or study. My mum used to keep her tumble drier in the dining room too lastbox. She didn't cover it up though.

I wouldn't have one in the lounge - aren't they a bit noisy?

I'm planning on putting a chest freezer in our garage. Next door have a tumble drier in a small shed in the garden!

It literally is the only place we can have it-the fridge is already in the space under the stairs, and we have no garage-just a kitchen, lounge, two bedrooms (I thought of that first but they are too small ) and a bathroom.

What about a table-top freezer on the kitchen worktop?

I type with our large freezer burbling away like some dyspeptic pensioner behind me... I moved it to the room with the computer in yesterday, as it was in the dining room and taking up too much space.

I have open plan...living..dining..kitchen is all in one so our fridge/freezer is in the lounge in a way as it's in the dining bit and doesn't cause any problems. It's quiet to be honest. I also have one built in so have 2 on the go and they aren't noisy to us. Or maybe the traffic outside offsets them?
