Does a sand pit mean sand in the house??

I was thinking of getting sand for ds as he loves to play with the dirt in the garden. Does play sand get trampled back into the house?

It does in our house.

TBH, it's not a problem, and you aren't really aware of it until you do a wet carpet cleaning when it all comes up.

A decent doormat should trap a lot of the sand.

Yes it does much to dh's irritation

but it hoovers easily - we have a doormat outside and inside the back door which collects a lot - also have the sandpit at the back of the garden so they have to get through the lawn before they get to the house which knocks a lot off.

YES

Doesn't with us - but then we've got two dogs that bring half the garden into the kitchen, so a bit of sand would be the least of my worries
