I remember loads peeling off when I was a teacher and wondered if they are better now or should I get my sewing kit out?

If you get the ones from Easy2name , they are sort of plasicy so sort of melt into the fabric abit and are quite hard to remove. If you quote mums-e2n you also get a 10% discount!

I love mine but have only been using them for a few weeks

I got some from Wilko's and they're useless. MIL just turned up a 25yr old plastic bag of sew-in labels and passed them on to us as ours are the only grandchildren with the same surname.

my sil used my brothers old one on my nephews stuff too. I should have called my son my surname!

the transfers from easy2name work really well as there is nothing to peel off

I have Cash's (sew-on) nametapes, and Easy2name iron-on ones. The iron-on ones are definitely not as good, and do come off eventually. BUT it is so much quicker to iron-on a tape (and ultimately a replacement if necessary) than to sew them on!
