Is there a car seat for 4 years plus which is isofix and has a harness like a 9mth - 4 years seat?

DS1 needs to go into a new seat but I know he'll unbuckle a seatbelt!

Does he weigh 18kg's yet ? You can get special needs Britax seat that would do up to the age of 6 but it's not isofix.
I think there comes a time when they just have to be told not to mess with buckles and understand it's serious though, 4 isn't too young to know that IME.

Haven't weight him actually but his head is starting to stick out of the top of the seat we have. He's three but will be four soon. I think maybe I'm just being over anxious!

Hi - we have britax car seat

And you can get a buckle safe to stop them undoing the belt

here

Hope the links work....sound like you have a similar escapologist to me

Mum1369 · 20/03/2009 18:31

It is isofix by the way

Sorrento · 20/03/2009 18:32

It doesn't matter if his head sticks out, i'd go and weigh him.

fishnet · 20/03/2009 18:35

Wouldn't it affect the side impact protection if his head sticks out?

I'll try and find the article on rear facing, I seem to remember it doesn't.

Sorrento · 20/03/2009 18:38

But for the price of that Britax one you can't go wrong and it'll last you forever.

fishnet · 20/03/2009 18:39

Our existing ones are britax and have been good so I think I will go for that one
