Apologies if this is a stupid question, but can these be used on grass, or do they need a flat surface like pavements, paths etc?

these are the ones with 2 wheels at the front and one at the back?
DS1 has used his a bit on grass but they go better on hard surfaces, I suppose it also depends on how wet the grass is and how soft the ground is underneath.

Those are the ones.

Don't think it will suit our needs after all then - need something for wobbly terrain and longish (often damp) grass (no pavements to speak of here).
