Sun cream confusion!

My DD 7 months caught the sun yesterday, didn't think it was that hot but obviously was wrong! What is the best suncream to use? Went to boots and there was sooo many, left looking very confused! Ideally want something that rubs in quickly as she doesn't like to be touched for too long!!
Thanks!

Standard sun creams need to be applied up to 30 mins before exposure and then every 2-3 hours.

If your DD doesn't like to be touched I would go for a long lasting one - I use Ultrasun - it is pricey but fantastic.

At 7mths it is actually better to use a sunscreen & hat and stay out of the sun during the hottest part of the day, pref indoor as Dc can burn in the shade as skin is very delicate - as you learnt yesterday.

Ultrasun do a 'physical' sunscreen which is fairly thick barrier or a 28 factor which rubs in easily. It has a faint silver glitter in it so you can see where you have been.

I have 2 very fair skinned (almost translucent/blue) blondies with freckles (DH is red head) who have remained sunburn free with this product.

We use Boots own for children. It rubs in really easily (not the baby ones in a white tube they take forever!!)

I got some as they were BOGOF so leave one with my childminder, factor 50 and you can see where you have applied it.

Get a shade-a-babe for the buggy, UV filter in it (and makes it quite dark so good for helping sleeps!!) much better than a parasol and this time of the year keeps the wind off a bit too.

Another pair of blondies here (though mine has to have a bit of highlights now) dd is white blonde and is 2.
