Stand up sunbeds - Anyone use ?

I have one question. If you use one of the stand up sunbeds do you HAVE to use the creams the salon is recommending ? As far as I can see these are just accelerators and are not protecting in any way.

(Would rather this thread didn't turn into a pros and cons of sunbeds debate.)

that's what I thought. Looked like a total rip-off to me.

I used them about 5 years ago. I though they were much better than lie down ones, I was left with fewer tell-tale lines/white bits. I never used the tan enhancer thingies, either.

FWIW, I don't use sunbeds at all now, haven't for 4 years+

Have used sunbed with and without creams/accelerators before my wedding last year. Preferred without as the creams make my skin go crazy. My sis who has darker skin gets brown much quicker when she uses them though.

Gobbledigook · 19/04/2005 14:05

No, I've never used the creams.

Don't use sunbeds anymore either - about to have my first St Tropez done professionally tomorrow! Eek! A bit scared!
