Not having a very good time with shoes at the mo!

DD2 had new shoes in Feb, the first time she wore them she got a huge blister but under her ankle bone. I just thought this was because they were new and she wasnt used to them. However the ankle hasnt really got any better.

I went to the shop with both DD's on saturday and asked if she could look at DD2 ankle. She said thats not right and the shoes shouldnt have done that. She put some softener on the area of shoe and said come back in a few days to see if any better. This was the same lady who fitted her shoes. She said if it isnt any better we will have to look at something else.

Not really sure what that meant but what kind of grounds do i stand on if I have the reciept for them and take them in tomrrow?

If you dont want to make her continue to wear them as they are hurting her (and I dont blame you!) then take them back with the receipt and say you arent happy and you'd like a refund please.
I had similar with Clarks. They fitted DS1 and his shoes gave him a blister.
I took him into an independent shop and asked them to re-check the fit for me. They said fit was not right, so I went back to Clarks and asked for refund. They didnt quibble.

i would take them back and say you're really not happy with them, could you exchange them.

it sounds like it's just cut too high for her and is rubbing on the bone. something that should have been checked when fitting, but tbh a lot of children wouldn't even notice and itwouldn't hurt them,
but you're definitely within your rights to get a new pair

Ok thanks. I have had similar with clarks and also posted the other day about clarks shoes, not going back to clarks again.

It was the way she said' we will have to find something else for her' that made me think I wonder where I stand, hopefully they will echange them. Thing is though they only had 3 pairs in her size last time and I only liked the ones she has now!!

sorry x posted.

DD has very tiny skinny feet and they told me i have to be very careful with shoes for her but no they obviuosly didnt check the fitting properly.

technically I think that if you wanted a refund you may have to accept a partial one as you have had use out of the shoes.

that said, most places would prob give a full refund anyway. but if you're happy with a replacement and the lady said "we'll have to look at something else" then it sounds like she's happy to just exchange.

have you tried start-rite shoes? they come up shallower and they do narrower fits than clarks

The ones she has are start rite shoes, love them but they are rubbing her. They were the only pair of start rites they had that fitted her.

Think i will go in there tomorrow with shoes and recipet and see what they say.
