1.6 metre wooden curtain pole? Is this an impossible quest?

The only places I have found that do them are an online curtain place that is really expensive, or B and Q which would be fine except they don't do them for online ordering and I have now been to my local branch twice and not been able to get them to order one in sucessfully. Any ideas?

John Lewis do all lengths and price ranges - pretty sure you can even get kits where you could eg join two 0.8 metre poles together. Sorry, no time to do link!

Buy a 180 and cut 20cm off!

we have odd length requirements. Buy bigger and cut down. Obviously restricts you to wood but it is easy.

I love these sort of threads.

  1. OP asks for answers, no "please" involved of course...
  2. People look up links, type replies, all very kind
  3. no reply from OP, nothing, nada
  4. 24 hours later nothing, nada
  5. catinthehat posts gently remarking on OP's approach to Good Manners
  6. OP stomps back immediately as she has actually been monitoring the thread all along "HOW DARE YOU BLAH BLAH BLAH" "KEEP YOUR NOSE OUT OF MY THREAD BLAH BLAH BLAH" "IF YOU ARE NOT CONTRIBUTING TO MY ORIGINAL QUESTION FECK OFF BLAH BLAH BLAH" "I WAS DOING SOMETHING IMPORTANT AND COULDN'T COME BACK TO MY THREAD BLAH BLAH BLAH" "I CAN'T COME BACK TO THIS THREAD EVERY FIVE SECONDS TO SAY THANKYOU TO EVERY CONTRIBUTOR BLAH BLAH BLAH" etc you get the idea
  7. sometimes OP's sockpuppet repeats 6) but in lower case, adding "I don't need thanks, the honour of answering OP is enough for me"

Come on OP, amaze us, charm us, what do these busy ladies get from you this afternoon?
