Im thinking of buying

these lakeland ecoballs

Anyone got any opinions or tips on using them?

I am also now starting to use the quick wash cycle on my machine. Do you think these will still cut it.

DS clothes dont always get that dirty apart from messy days at nursery. My clothes only get dirty when DS gets his dirty mitts on me!

Hi

Yes thee work on normal cycle and also quick cycle. I've been using them since about last May. I started work at Lakeland and have bought lots of products and love most of them. The ecoballs are good and work well and save money which is just as good.

They come with some cream which you can put on tough stains and this works well. like spagetti sauce and the such, my DS also gets Orange everywhere when he eats one.

You don't need to put anything else in with them, just shove the balls in the machine and they do the work. I found it odd that you don't get the smell of detergent/fabric softner to start off with but am use to it now.

I think they last about 2 months in our house which is about 2-3 washes every day with both in the machine. They also come with 2 small refill packs so you don't need the refill pack straight away, quite easy to refill as well.

They are very popular with more and more people buying them and I don't think i've had anyone bring them back or say anything bad about them since i've started working for Lakeland.

More than happy to answer any questions if you've got any.

what is the theory behind them - can't see how they work?

Paranoid mother...thanks for that. Its a toss up between the two different types they sell. I have discounted soap nuts as a eco friend told me some cons.

Stressed2007 I think part of it is Oxygen but I really dont know!

I've used both the Lakeland own brand and ecoballs and the ecoballs I have found are better.
Can't remember why they are good but they do work.
I've never been sure on the soap nuts, haven't found anyone who's used it and said about it.

Thank you. Will be calling my local store to check they have them in stock before I make a special trip at the weekend.
