Don't go near. Good customer service, speedy delivery, etc. but my card details were stolen after I used them, and after a bit of an internet search, I found out it was a common problem.

Comewhinewithme · 13/03/2009 14:35

I use them a lot always been brilliant.

Lucky13 · 13/03/2009 14:40

I've used them for years and never had a problem. They're often cheaper than amazon and deliver pretty quickly too.

blametheparents · 13/03/2009 14:43

I ahve only ever used them for DVDs and CDs, and have found them brilliant.

I would hesitate to make such a large purchase from an internet site. We bought a camerea once from Pixmania and when it sent wrond it was a total hassle to send it back and then await a replacement. Would have been much easier in a shop. A tv would be even more troublesome (and we are on our 3rd LCD after 2 were deemed 'unrepairable')

All good experiences with Play.com here -admitedly only smaller purchases like CDs DVDs though.

We've used them for a few years.

PestoMonster · 13/03/2009 14:56

Use them all the time for books, cds & dvds and they are great. Haven't bought anything big from them though.

use them all the time, the website should be secure with a little key up top. If it's not there it's not secure.

PandaG · 13/03/2009 15:00

same as cat - often used for small items, both DH and I. no problems re credit card details, prompt delivery.

diedandgonetodevon · 13/03/2009 15:01

Always good. Never had a problem with them over a few years of purchases

poopscoop · 13/03/2009 15:02

always been excellent, and i buy an awful lot from them. Christmas especially.

SoupDragon · 13/03/2009 15:03

Play are fabulous.

Have used em for years and never had my car details stolen from them

cutekids · 13/03/2009 15:04

yep me too! Very quick delivery too!

Lmccrean · 13/03/2009 16:32

Ive worked for both amazon and play cust service and thought their policies were pretty customer focused. However, I prefer amazons website (layout etc), but play have faster delivery.

Have you used any shop bots to see if you can lower price? Kelkoo and the like?

FigmentOfYourImagination · 13/03/2009 16:33

Play are great. Use them all the time and they are very reliable.

Marne · 13/03/2009 16:34

I have used them and had no problems.

Hulababy · 13/03/2009 16:35

I have used Play regularly for last few years and have always had excellent service from them; no problems at all.

Amazon still owe me a £10 gift voucher that I bought a couple of years ago. Several emails and phone calls later, still not sorted. Hsve now given up!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 13/03/2009 16:36

i alwasy find their delivery a bit slow TBH. if you are buying something that big sign up to QUIDCO and get money back for it.

stealthsquiggle · 13/03/2009 16:37

I have never had any problems with play.com - good prices and fast delivery - admittedly only smaller purchases, though.

CrackerNut · 13/03/2009 16:38

Had lots of stuff from Play and never had any problems. Once had something not turn up and they do ask you to wait 21 days i think before telling them, but as soon as I said the item wasn't recieved they sent another one no questions asked.

used2bthin · 13/03/2009 16:43

I have been quite impressed with them so far (only small things though) . But there is one CD that I ordered before christmas that hasn't turned up yet and they haven't responded to my query about it. It did say there would be a wait but this seems a bit ridiculous. Having said that, they haven't charged me for it yet so its not a big deal.
