Is it any good? Are they other brands?

There are but I don't know what they are, I think argos have got some. We had one of these and to be honest by the time I'd struggled to get DD into it she was frustrated and didn't really like being in it very much. Might be different with a different child but it certainly wasn't the easiest gadgets to use imo.

Hmmm. The first one I bought was fine and enjoyed by DS1 until one day one of the straps inexplicably slipped out of its clip holding and he bashed his head on the doorframe. We sprinted towards him as he was left dangling upside down. A terrifying moment and a large lump on the head

Fast forward to 2009 and DS2 has another one (I know, you would have thought I was put off from previous experience but DS1 loved the bouncer). The clips seem to have been improved but, typically, DS2 hates it. It's gathering dust in a corner of his bedroom.
