Travel cots - what type?

I'm thinking of getting a travel cot but I'm not sure which type to get. The rectangular ones look like they might also be useful as a play pen for when lo is crawling and i can't watch him e.g. going to the loo BUT the tent type ones look like they might also be good for using on the allotment in summer as they have a SPF, although they look small. Any advice?

we have a rectangle one with a folding mattress and dd has slept in it for fortnights at a time happily and i used it as a playpen and she played fine in it and if she fell the sides didnt hurt her. i think its mothercares own one.

We have a tent one as we needed something to take abroad and this was v.light and fits easily in luggage.
It's fine and both DS have slept in it happily but not as comfy I think as a rectangle one as has thinnish mattress and is quite small.

Also it is a faff to put up and down (having to thread the poles into it like a proper tent)
