i've search on here and all the poster says is maxi cosi rodi but not which one and i have a feeling that the SPS got slatted and the XR was the one with the score of 77% but can't find the thread.

Can anyone help?

Interested too as just about 2 get my second one. I thought there was no difference betweeen the 2 bar the fact the XR reclines. Personally I don't think either offer great protection but I thought they scored high in the Which Report?

my parents want a seat for our DD2 and they can have our britax evolva if i get one of these as DD2 likes to sleep in the car and the recyline function seems like a good idea.

I can't see any review of the SPS on the which website, but the XR gets a review of 75%, 3/5 for front crash safety, 4/5 for side crash, fitting in car and overall safety.

thanks - will go and see if it fits the car now!

The Maxi Cosi Rodi XR is one of the which? best buys, can't see the other one though

katz · 10/03/2009 22:29

thanks - the threads on here about it just say maxi cosi rodi but not which one.

Rodi XR = 75% but they didn't test the sps model.

But if you can get isofix, I'd go for the Britax KIDFIX with a score of 75%. But to me (as a nanny that has see many many car seats in action, not just in shop windows) the KIDFIX seems safer.

Also consider your car; if you have no side impact protection in the car then you might want to go with a car seat that has the highest side impact rating etc.

Just so you know maxi cosi told me the only difference between the Rodi and the SPS is the recline feature - otherwise they are the same seat

Its the XR on the which report
Im gonna get a kidfix though, have just decided. Its £££ though!

Have been wondering the same about the XR and SPS as quite a price difference. Is the SPS slightly narrower? I'm just going to look into Britax kidfix now. Does anyone have the SPS or XR and what do you think?

stressed2007 · 31/03/2009 13:17

I have an SPS - to be fair I don't rate it. My husband says it is ok. To me there is not enough "side" to it but I suspect this is the same with the XR.
