Children's beds - Thuka vs. Scallywag (or something else...)

DD is nearly 2 and starting to look very large in her cot. So, we're looking for a bed that is adaptable (depending on whether we have another DC or not, or whether DD wants the whole "princess-castle-with-slide" combo...) and solid enough to last a good few years.

Two products that look like they'd work are Thuka and Scallywags. Does anyone have any feedback on either of these, or any alternatives that we should consider?

thanks

DS has a Thuka bed. He has had it for 4 years and it is still in great condition.
We have been very happy with it.

DD has a Flexa bed

It started off as a single bed with rails, then a midsleeper with curtains etc. She loves it, so much that we've just ordered one for DS (2 this week)

They're very flexible, very well built - highly recommended

we have a thuka shorty midsleeper for DS1 and we;'re really, really happy with it.
it's super sturdy, and obviously the biggest plus is that we can turn it into bunks when ds2 is big enough to go into a bed

we got ours from a company called rainbow wood (www.rainbowwood.co.uk) and they were really fab, lovely family-run business.
They have a shop in Farnham which is worth visiting if you want more info on the beds or to see them in the flesh before buying

Thanks guys

iwontbite - Farnham might be doable . Do you know whether the Shorty is part of the Maxi range?
