what make of changing bag do you have?

I'm prepared to part with some money, as constantly carrying round loads of stuff for DS - reusable nappies, bottles, etc etc.

But there are so many out there. ANy makes you ladies recommend or regret buying? The more pockets the better, and definitely want nappies etc kept in separate section from food (eewww).

Recommendations really needed!

I just used a large bag! My biggest sized Orla Kiely bag was good.

But any roomy bag will do. You don't need a proper changing bag imo.

macana · 09/03/2009 16:09

loads of people have said that actually, but you do need somewhere (or at least I do) to hold your bottles upright, and you do need plenty of pockets, so as not to have dirty nappies in the vicinity of food. Also, I'm fed up of having to rummage round every time want to find my wallet or house keys in the bottom of my bag.....

surely an ordinary big bag can't compare?

Waste of money, imho.

Just get a big bag that you really like.

Trinityrhino · 09/03/2009 16:14

any good?

largeginandtonic · 09/03/2009 16:16

I have this one and love it.

I like the pockets for everything too.

Trinityrhino · 09/03/2009 16:16

I like this one too
I've never been able to find the right bag

I love my skip hop dash.

Kissed a few frogs before I found that baby.

Main thing I love about it is that it clips to the buggy as well as having an over the shoulder strap, so you're hands free always.

I'm sure other bags have this function, but mine is a really lovely dark burgundy - so DH was fine using it too. Made of sturdy material - not the prettiest bag, but stylish and understated.

Got it for a song, BN on ebay.

princessmel · 09/03/2009 16:34

Oh I didn't have bottles etc with dd. And my Ok bag has a clip for the keys.

Agree about keeping bottles upright though.

Skiphop duo!

Had many poor bags but cant fault this one. Caboodle messenger was a big let down.

I bought the fold-out thing for a normal bag before he arrived, too. I also found that a change bag was essential, contrary to the mantra. Too many things to isolate from other things to make a normal bag practical.

I got a Billy change bag from Ebay - looked new, was sold as a gently used second bag. Cost £25 and has been perfect for our needs, and looks lovely as well (not like a cb - no fluffy bunnies in sight!) It's wipe clean, lots of pockets and compartments, and a zipped pocket for the red book. Works really well. If you want an OiOi they come up all the time - you can set a search on Ebay and then get emailed when what you want is listed.

Qally · 10/03/2009 00:38

The only one they seem to sell now is ugly, sadly. The one we got was in this fabric. But Ebay may have nice ones, and at a quarter of the new price.

horseymum · 10/03/2009 21:00

boots parenting club free one?! but I am not a bag person anyway. A Rucksack? will give many years of use instead of just a couple?

camembertandcranberry · 11/03/2009 20:22

OiOi's newer models have buggy clips so can be used the same way as a SkipHop or similar I think. There are a couple of lovely designs in the new spring/ summer range....

nappyaddict · 12/03/2009 16:00

I have a big bag. It has a zip compartment when my purse, keys and phone go. Then it has a piece of material down the middle making 2 compartments. We used the wideneck bottles which don't leak if they lie flat.

dizzydixies · 12/03/2009 16:05

I have a samsonite one but I love the jujube ones too

I've got a Bugaboo one and it's crap! I've stuck with it for a few months but just can't get on with it.
