xbox or PS2

Not really sure on the differences and wondered which people think it better??

we have an x box and a gamecube, like both. Like the fact the xbox will play cd's and dvd's as well

ps2 plays dvd's and cds and seems to have more games etc We have a gamecube too and very few games available in comparison

do you need remote for ps2 to play dvds cds etc as I think you do for xbox??

You can use the hand controllers for cds and dvds on ps2 but you can also get a remote if you want

DH perfers the PS2, he's had an X Box but swopped it with his mate for the PS2, apparently there's better games for the PS2. it plays DVD's so we don't need a player for our bedroom and also I think it plays music CD's as well althou not sure. he takes it away with him as well when he's travelling cos it's nice and light. lot more compact than the x box. not sure about eh remote u can getthem thou (I think or was that the x box, can't remeber) althou we don't have a remote and the DVD's still play fine.
