My ds keeps wearing through the knees in his trousers (only left knee bizarly!)

Can anyone recomend some trousers that will last a bit longer? I am not keen on blue jeans or 'fashion' jeans. Just some plain little boy trousers that are easy to get up and down to go to the toilet.

Thanks

If you find some, let me know! I put my son in blue or black jeans from Tesco or Asda as they're cheap and hardwearing. Would love some trousers like you describe, but have never found them (unless you want those hideous combats in army prints?!).

DS1 has trousers from sainsbury's that seem to last forever. He has no problem pulling them up and down.

Ds (now 6) is still putting holes through the knees of his trousers (and jeans). He also seems to favour one knee over the other!! A lot of his are lined trousers from next and the hole is usually only through the top layer so it's not as noticable because you can't actually see any skin!!!

Probably not a very helpful recommendation, sorry!!

When he was a toddler I bought lots of trousers from Primark. They've been passed on to my friends to use for their children and now they're spares for my CMed children and are still in perfect condition. I don't find their older boys clothes as good now though.

Also, I used to get quite a lot from the Gap sale (when we lived near to a Gap shop!). There is a 30% off voucher doing the rounds at the moment. The sleeves on their tops were always a bit short for ds but the trousers are pretty hardwearing.

Thanks everyone, will try the supermarkets and gap then to trial them. I can find school trousers with reinforced knees but not little boys trousers. Perhaps I will have to buy him knee pads!!
