I ordered my new account online in January - did it because they were offering a £50 credit if you ordered online. Just got my first bill and I haven't got it - so a STUPIDLY high bill from them.

Just been on the phone to them and they "have no record of me ordering online"...........yes - but guess what they have no record of me ringing up/being accosted in the shopping centre to sign up either.

b*astards.

Wow, you're really having a rough time with moving! Can't you cancel then apply online again? Or is it too late?

Is that what they say happened? You signed up through a shopping centre?

FAQinglovely · 05/03/2009 12:17

no they just say that there's no record of me ordering it all online. I asked where it said I signed up and she said it didn't

I am apparently going to get a call from them at some point to clear it up.............but I shall be getting arsey (I'm good at arsey but polite ) with them and demanding it. I'm not paying that much fecking money - the £50 credit would have worked out fine as that was the exact amount of the final bill from the accont at the old house (which was in DH's name but I was paying for it as I was using it).

Mind you she said even if they do give me the £50 credit it'll be on my next bill - f*ck that - I don't want it off next months bill I want it off THIS one where it should be

I had months and months of arguements with virgin over my account. They were supposed to change my account at least 3 times but never did then said the offer I wanted wasn't available anymore. The last arguement I had with them was over a free wireless router which they assured me at least 5 times had been sent out to me to then tell me I wouldn't be getting one because I hadn't ordered it!! I keep looking for other providers but I don't really know what I'm looking for and I really don't want to lose my email address.

Anyway, you have my sympathies and I hope they sort it out for you.

Oh I had thought of changing to them from Sky and BT, might not bother now.

The actual service is fine but their customer service and problem sloving has been awful IME.

FAQinglovely · 05/03/2009 16:17

agree with Mogs - I've used virgin (well NTL as they were before) for years now, thankfully I've rarely had to contact their appalling customer services as their actual services proivided have been reliable.
