Fiat Doblo - Suitable baby seat / travel system? Any advice from other Doblo owners?!

Hi there

Just bought a 2004 Fiat Doblo and have realised our old baby car seat base (for from birth) doesn't fit as its 'leg' isn't long enough to touch the floor. grrr....

Ideally we'd like to get one of the travel systems with a base and seperate car seat -rather than just a seat that fits under the seatbelt that we have to fit everytime we put the baby in the car.

Can't find any advice apart from in the Fiat handbook that suggests a universal seat which would be the seatbelty type...

Any one else have a Doblo and if so, which baby seats have you found that fit (for newborn baby)?

Thought we'd check here first as there's a darn sight more insight on these pages compared to that given by a Halfords or Mothercare assistant!

Any info welcome

Thanks

We just use a non-isofix maxi-cosi, so prolly not what you want?

Hi,

We have a Fiat Doblo and I had a Chicco Trio travel system, the car seat had no base, so I never had a problem - do the bases all have leg? Can you strap the seat in without the base?

Sorry I can't be of further assistance, only the Chicco stroller/car seat combinations are often for sale cheap on Ebay brand new for aboutr £50.

Thanks for your comments - Graco have confirmed that contrary to their manual the baby car seat base 'leg' can sit on the driveshaft. All sorted. And relax.

Ah that's good!

We love our doblo, BTW.
