My DS (age 4) is currently wearing Joules cords age 4. He is quite tall I think and they are plenty long enough.

I just bought the same size roughly as the age - and they were ok.
IMO they are not as good quality as Boden (apart from the Joules polos which seem to last for ages). Also, the stuff looks brighter, stronger colours etc in the pictures than in real life.

no idea about the boys but the girls stuff is on the small size

I would say on the small side but i am the type of person that buys a size up so they can get 2 years out of things, especially when they are expensive. My ds is currently wearing an age 5 long sleeve polo from joules and he is only just nearly 4! I just turn the sleeves up a bit - so buy a size up if you want to get your money's worth - may not work so well for trousers though. dd age nearly 2 is wearing an age 3 top with sleeves rolled over once too! I love the stuff but it is pricy, they had a great sale after Christmas though.

My DD (nearly 6) has 2 coats, one is Boden aged 5-6 and the other is Joules aged 8, the fit is about the same so in my opinion Joules come up a bit on the small side.

I know one of the kids who is a fitting model for Joules - I would say that they are pretty true to size.
